Peak Veterinary Referral Center
Cardiology
We work with you and your veterinarian to diagnose and provide compassionate, expert care to pets with heart conditions.
Veterinary Cardiology services include comprehensive diagnosis and management of all types of cardiovascular problems, including congenital and acquired heart diseases, arrhythmias, congestive heart failure, valve problems, high blood pressure, and more.
While some cardiac conditions may be serious, many heart diseases are manageable on an outpatient basis and allow for a good quality of life. Early diagnosis and effective treatment will increase your pet’s opportunity to live a normal life.
Green Mountain Veterinary Cardiology provides cardiology services at Peak.
Pets that exhibit any of the following symptoms may benefit from a cardiac evaluation:
Heart murmur
Shortness of breath or breathing problems
Chronic cough
Heart arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat)
Hypertension (high blood pressure)
Congenital heart defects
Fainting
Fluid accumulation in the chest or abdomen
Exercise intolerance
Our cardiologist will evaluate pets at risk for anesthesia to assess possible risks and develop the most appropriate treatment plan.
