About

Dr. Paula Lenhard grew up in sunny Florida, after her parents decided that the snow and the cold of upstate New York were not for them. Although a bit too hot for her, she stayed and attended the University of Florida, earning her Bachelor of Science in Zoology. She obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, completing her clinical training at the University of Florida in 2010.

She and her husband first moved to Northern Virginia where she practiced general medicine for several years before returning to emergency medicine, which is her primary interest. She practiced emergency medicine for two years in Virginia before her family decided to try out Oregon on the PWC, where they stayed for three years. Deciding they missed the East coast, they chose Vermont as the next destination, which also allows them to be closer to family.

Besides the chaos that emergency medicine can bring, her interests include dermatology, the dog breed shar peis, and internal medicine.

Her hobbies include reading, gardening, classical dancing and exploring Vermont’s numerous activities, including kayaking, hiking, and skiing.
